Method

  1. 01

Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking into crumbles; drain excess fat if needed.

  2. 02

Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water to the beef; simmer 3–4 minutes until sauce is thickened and beef is coated.

  3. 03

If using beans, warm them in a small pot or microwave until heated through.

  4. 04

Open each individual chip bag and gently crush chips inside if desired for smaller pieces; create a small pocket by folding the top edge (optional).

  5. 05

Spoon 1/4 of the seasoned beef into each chip bag, then add 2–3 tablespoons warm beans (if using).

  6. 06

Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, green onion, and about 1/4 cup shredded cheddar per bag.

  7. 07

Add a spoonful of salsa and a dollop of sour cream if desired. Squeeze a lime wedge over each bag and sprinkle cilantro.

  8. 08

Serve immediately—eat directly from the bag with a fork or by hand.
